Trips of this nature require a rather different approach or medical outlook. In reading the blogs on Egypt you will find everything from " Never sick one time in 14 trips to Sick all trip long. All the food and hotels are infested." You must plan on everything going wrong and plan or pack accordingly. No risk no adventure right. Grace always states that just living with Norm is a risk so she is ready. hmmm. Not sure if that is a complement or a slap. Ok.. Back to the topic. I'm the official unofficial pharmacist for most trips. My mom previously a registered nurse has the job of providing a shopping list of first aid items and Grace purchase all that is required. (Risk based, you cannot pack everything) I administer the right amount of everything from Imodium to motion sickness pills during the trip. Kyle is the cut and scrap doctor because he gets a kick out of watching you squirm as he bandages your wounds. Ti and Grace are the drama queens, as each and every cut sends them to the far corner of the room. In most cases the cuts are mine, so I must turn to the youngest member of the family Kyle for help on those out of reach areas. Kyle assumed this role at around 8 years old because we could not get the ladies to come in the same room after bike wrecks or other pain inflected activities. Below is $60.00 worth of supplies to cure or mask 80% of all travel related set backs.
